3 Less Calorie Cocktails

When your precious weekends are coming, you probably wonder what you can drink without gaining too much weight and calories.

First, you should know that so-called “white” alcohols such as gin and vodka are the ones with the lowest calorie intake, instead of “brown” alcohols such as whisky for instance.

We have therefore made a selection of 3 cocktails that you can drink to avoid gaining too much weight on the weekend.


Gin Tonic

This well-known cocktail is one of the lowest-calorie cocktails. Indeed, gin is the white alcohol that contains the least. Plus, Schweppes and Tonic are not too sweet as a soda. If you add a slice of cucumber, it will absolutely not make things worse. Lemon with his great benefits will also add some vitamins.

It contains 166 calories with these recipe and quantities:

  • Kosher salt for the glass’ contours
  • 2 ounces mescal of tequila
  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
  • 0,5-ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces club soda
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

For rum lovers, we don’t think we can teach you anything about this cocktail. However, the mojito is better for you than others made with rum. Even if it contains a little sugar, there is no sweet syrup. Coke is missing, then it’s healthier, simple as this.

It contains 168 calories with these recipe and quantities:

  • 12 fresh mint leaves and 5 small sprigs
  • 1-ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 heaping teaspoons superfine sugar
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 1-ounce club soda


With these cocktails, you’ll consume less sugar and calories, then you’ll be healthier, meanwhile still enjoying. But of course, always pay attention to your consumption, it will be better for your waistline and your mind.
